TEN is a Zurich and Belgrade based architecture organisation, founded in 2015 as a non-profit association. It has since evolved into a studio collective, a registered share company, and dedicated research and teaching units. TEN provides new formats for interdependent collaboration across the scale of architecture design. It aims to conceive, explore and produce architecture that articulates and extends emerging practices in the built environment, working within real-world contingencies by means of prototyping, urban propositions, open research and design in dialogue.

Complementing its project work, TEN builds and adapts boss-free organisational formats and open design tools for creative collaboration. Aiming to cultivate agency and diversity of thought in design, TEN supports its members to develop and practice such approaches. This openness sources new registers of knowledge from collaborators, critics and the general public working to address complex socio-ecological challenges through design.

TEN is currently focused on developing models for sustainable, affordable and adaptive buildings, with particular focus on capable structures, reuse and cohabitation for different time horizons. The organisation practices this through invited studies, commissions and competitions, self-initiated collaborations and teaching assignments.
